Meet The Staff – Katherine P
Katherine began working at New Orleans Speech and Hearing Center in May 2015. Her education includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Nicholls State University and a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from LSU Health Sciences Center of NO.

Upon graduation from her Bachelor’s Degree, Katherine spent a year as a school teacher. Her most recent work experiences include positions as a speech-language pathologist for a pediatric development clinic and as well as a literacy and learning organization.
Her love for working with children stems from her childhood experiences. Her mother was a preschool teacher and Katherine has always enjoyed being in the classroom and working with children. She feels that speech-language pathology gave her the ability to educate and make a difference in a child’s life. She enjoys the rewarding nature of the field especially hearing a young child’s first words.

Katherine is easy work to with, flexible and very knowledgeable in the field. She is NOSHC’s lead therapist at Laureate Academy. She also is a member of our school screening team and conducts evaluations and therapy at our Uptown location.
