Articles about Verónica:
Success Story: Joseph
Joseph, age 3, was referred to NOSHC for a delay in speech-language communication. He has been a client of speech-language pathology assistant Verónica V. since early January. Verónica is a bilingual (Spanish-English) speech-language pathology assistant and has been working at NOSHC since 2010.
In just these short months, Joseph’s behavior and speech-language skills have improved dramatically. One of Joseph’s major improvements has been his attending skills. During sessions earlier this year, Joseph had difficulty paying attention and would become easily distracted. Now, Joseph is able to participate and attend fully to each activity Verónica creates for them.
Their sessions include a combination of puzzle activities, songs, and Joseph’s favorite, bubbles. Using these activities, Joseph is able to work on following directions, imitating words, and he is starting to use sign language for words. Verónica said that due to his improvements behaviorally, they have really begun to work on speech and language skills that will help him communicate each day. Keep up the great work Joseph!

¡Buen trabajo Joseph!
